Ambassador William Luers to Speak: "Regime Change Or War With Iran?"

On September 15, at 11a.m.,at the Gunn Memorial Library in Washington CT, the Washington Democratic Town Committee (WDTC)will welcome Ambassador William Luers, renowned American diplomat to its John Millington Conversation Series. He ahs chosen as his subject "Regime Change Or War With Iran?"

 Ambassador Luers is a retired American career diplomat and museum executive. He is the director of the Iran Project, an organization “Dedicated to a balanced, objective, and bipartisan approach to preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.”

 Ambassador Luers was president of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for thirteen years, and was president of the United Nations Association of the United States of America for eleven years. He spent thirty one years in the Foreign Service, during which he served as Ambassador to Czechoslovakia and Ambassador to Venezuela. Mr. Luers is an adjunct professor at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University

  He will be speaking at the Washington Democratic Town Committee’s “John Millington Conversation Series”.  The Conversation Series is named in honor of John Millington, who was a long time member and activist on the Democratic Town Committee.
