What Is Washington Democratic Town Committee?

The Washington Democratic Town Committee (WDTC) is the official local organization of the Connecticut Democratic Party in the town of Washington. We are responsible to the Connecticut Democratic State Central Committee. Our members are elected by and represent all registered Democrats in Washington.

Our bylaws, recently amended by a vote of Committee members, now provides that the WDTC "shall consist of not more than twenty-five (25) members," although that number can, by majority vote, be increased. Currently, there are eighteen members.

Committee members are elected for two-year terms in March of even-numbered years. At this election, all Democrats who are registered to vote in the Town of Washington may vote.
